Speysides Tamdhu distillery is renowned for its rich, fruity and heavily-Sherried single malt whiskies, and this limited edition 15-year-old is no exception. Matured fully in ex-oloroso Sherry casks made from American and European oak, this is a rich and fruity whisky with a lasting finish.
Serving Suggestions: Delicious enjoyed neat or in an Old Fashioned (stir 50ml with three dashes of Angostura bitters over ice, strain into a rocks glass and garnish with orange zest).
Tasting Notes
The nose is syrupy and sweet, but still fresh with apple blossom, orange zest and dried pineapple. On the palate the fruitiness bursts to life with more juicy pineapple, apricots and raspberry coulis, with a spiced yet creamy caramel and gingerbread sweetness.
